Working as an integral member of the Development team, you will be a critical part in the ongoing delivery of product development within the Mozilla platform.
Under the guidance of the Director of Technology Development, you will be responsible for harnessing the power of Mozilla's Cross Platform Component Model (XPCOM) to build our leading edge 3D applications into the Mozilla platform.
Ideally, your skill set will be extensive, but may have the following:
- Expert-level C++ development proficiency
- Expert-level software design / architecture experience – Design Patterns
- Thorough knowledge of and tons of experience with the Standard Template Library (STL)
- Inside-out knowledge of XPCOM / Spidermonkey
- Have been involved in commercial projects involving XPCOM
- Firefox development: can trace, diagnose and fix bugs in Firefox
- Javascript experience (as used in Firefox – not so much for web pages, but for the browser functionality itself)
You may also have the following background to be successful:
- Microsoft COM
- UI Design Experience
- 3D Graphics/animation experience (OGRE programming a definite plus, but OpenGL/Direct3D acceptable)
- Have submitted patches for Firefox
Ideally, you have come from a small to medium size office environment, start up and/or technology sector. Your career has progressed through various levels of programming and development to make you a well rounded developer with a broad array of applications and product development – both internally developed and 3rd party applications.
You are a self-starting, career minded individual with a passion for success and a track record of delivering results. You are personable, caring and client service oriented.
