Working as an integral member of the Development team, you will be a critical part in the ongoing delivery of product development within the Mozilla platform.

Under the guidance of the Director of Technology Development, you will be responsible for implementing, documenting, and maintaining features in existing and future Vizible software releases. You may be required to research and must be able to translate vague ideas into requirements, sometimes scour the web and newsgroups for an answer, and (even if no answer was found) implement a prototype.

Specifically, you will:

• Work closely with the lead developers to improve existing product functionality and add new features
• Work closely with artists and designers to create novel 3D effects useful in our software
• Provide technical leadership and creative thinking
• Do research projects to try out different technologies or solutions to specific problems

Ideally, your skill set will be extensive, but will have the following:

• Plenty of C++ programming - algorithms, optimization, debugging, and code documentation
• Software design & architecture, particularly design patterns
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent programming experience
• OpenGL and Direct3D experience (with strong 3D optimization skills)
• Strong math background (everything required to do 3D graphics – matrix & quaternion algebra, etc.)
• Experience with MS Visual Studio
• A minimum of 2 years in 3D graphics programming
• Have worked on software that has been released directly to the consumer market

You may also be familiar with the following :

• Middleware APIs: OGRE, Unreal engines
• PS3, Xbox, Wii / game console programming
• PC video games (FPS & RTS preferred)

Ideally, you have come from a small to medium size office environment, start up and/or technology sector. Your career has progressed through various levels of programming and development to make you a well rounded 3D developer with a broad array of applications and product development.

You are a self-starting, career minded individual with a passion for success and a track record of delivering results. You are personable, caring and client service oriented.
